usb flashdrive
howdy,
i sure hope someone can help me so that my wife will stop reminding her that her flash drive worked before i had to reformat my hard drive. like i said she has a flash drive that she uses for work and she brings it home with her to do work here. the problem is that since i reformated the computer (destructive) the flash drive will not work on our computer. a message comes up that it is not a high speed usb and then the computer jams up and we have to shut it down. before that the same message would come up but it would still pull up files that she has on it and she could do her work. any suggestion would be appriecated
thanks,

My WIN XP recognizes all of my flash drives yet my WIN98 (SE) needs drivers installed before it will recognize any flash drives. I have never had any trouble with the USB 1 port on my WIN98 (after loading the drivers) or the USB 2 ports on my XP.
If you are running anything other than XP you may need to load a driver for the flash drive.
