make sure its plugged into a known good outlet, and it's plugged into the back of the computer tight. make sure the voltage switch on the back of the power supply is on the proper side.Make sure any on/off switch on the back of the power supply is on. After that, you can open the case and check that the wires from the power supply are hooked up/seated well, and the wires from the front button are hooked up. Start with these basics.

You jumper the green wire to a black wire on the main harness for the mother board. disconnect the harness get a paper clip and jumper it from green to a black

http://www.xtronics.com/reference/atx_pinout.htm

If the fan doesn't come on the power supply is shot. If the fan comes on, reconnect it and then try holding the power button for 20sec and see if it turns on then. Otherwise your mother board is more than likely fried

sorry no beeps.if i jump the new power supply the fan comes on
but nothing else happens .no beeps light or other .just seems dead
and if i just try to start it normal with the power switch nothing
not even the fan in the power supply will run.also i just notice that the new power suppy doesn't have a white wire in pin 18 but the old one did .would this stop it from starting?
