Question reducing pixels

New at this so please give me a minute. I had some pix taken at a charity golf tournament and want to download them on my web page. The problem is that is is to large (KB wise) and wont let me do it. Is there a program that lets you reduce the size of the picture so I can be able to send it? thanks form the help.

If you're using WinXP, simply right click on the file name and select "Resize pictures". A dialogue box will open. Select "Small" and "Okay". A duplicate file will be created only much smaller; the file name will contain (small) to differentiate. You can do multiple files by highlighting them and doing the above.

I use Photoshop to resize but could use a simple way like the_tow_guy suggested...............Unfortunately what was suggested with XP does not work for me.
I do get an edit picture choice from the windows file menu that then opens paint, but it is simpler for me to use Photoshop.

I'm using XP Pro/sp2.

Regardless of how you resize the picture, you should make sure to keep the original. Once you overwrite the original picture with a smaller size the larger size is lost and cannot be re-created.
