Can I [B]connect a VCR directly [/B]to my computer via the RCA plugs on the computer and record to DVD. I have DVD-R in my computer. Thanks, Sarge

I work for a large retail chain. We have a lost and found bin mainly consisting of junk that no one would take pains to reclaim, (junky umbrellas etc.) However, a couple of weeks ago a curious combination of a valuable vintage time piece and a large set of keys showed up (the watch was connected to the key chain) Also on the key chain was what I later learned to be a memory stick with a USB connector on it. I consider that there might be clues as to who this person is and where/how they might be reached if there is something other than music stored on it. Thing is, aside from a little creepy feeling of snooping (as well intentioned as I am) Someone put a bug in my head about a bug existing on that memory stick that might infect my own or the stores computer system. Is this a crazy thought? If it is, can I simply plug it in to a USB port and view the contents, assuming that it would be read by a program common to most computers? I know I'm being a scaredy cat, but I once inadvertantly seriously compromised the computer system, and I don't want to replicate that nor do I want to mess up my own computer. Thanks.
