I am working on my mother's computer that has a trojan. I can't get past the desktop to get on the internet. I also don't know how to start in the safe-mode on her compaq computer. She does have mcAfee and Aol antivirus as well as a Norton cd that I also cannot run because the autorun is affected. Can you help?

Can you get into the BIOS on boot-up & change the default boot to the CD drive? If you can, put the Norton CD in, re-boot, change the BIOS setting to boot from the CD and let Norton find/remove the trojan for you.
Good luck.
I(If you can't get in to change this setting, what operating system are you using? If Windows XP, you should be able to press F8 on booting to get into safe mode.)
