Bad day...Toshiba laptop screen cracked

Laptop got crunched tonight. Screen is cracked and really strange design on there now. Needless to say, can't see the screen to work on it. Are these replace-able? Can I take it to some place like Frys and have them replace the screen? Or do I need to get it to Toshiba?
More important right now, is there a way to plug it into another screen so I can see to retrieve some things I need soon?
Thanks....I should go to bed, it's been a bad day.

Just do a google for "replacing a laptop screen". There are numerous results to choose from. I'm sure you could send it back to Toshiba, but depending on how old it is it may not be the most economical way to go.

You should be able to plug a regular monitor into the port on the back to display the image on the monitor...if there isn't any other damage to the unit.

Good luck.
