gmail question

I tried to do this but wasn't able to. In gmail it allows pop access so I have configured it with microsoft outlook 2003 to recieve messages. Is it possible to make is so that if I delete a message on microsoft outlook 2003 that it will then automatically delete the same message on my online gmail account. Thanks
