Rotten Apples !!

Trying to transfer songs from itunes in my computer to my wife's so she can do her own ipod stuff.

I bought a new Kingston 2GB Flash to do so but although I get the folders from my itunes Library for each cd, when I place it in her library there seems to be some link thats missing that recognizes the songs.

Also, there is a little box at the far left of the song that is blank on all but the ones I "flashed" which have an ! in it.

Any suggestions on how to get them there using flash?

Thanks

Apple intentionally prevents you from doing what you are trying to do.

I know that there are ways around this, but I am NOT sure what they are.

Apple and their proprietary crap!!! You cannot download their music onto a normal flash drive. I heard in the news a week or two ago about a hacker who figured out how to do it, but, that's behond my computing ability to do.

From what I heard, if you get a new ipod, you have to buy your songs all over again.. I prefer mp3s..

Googling for "hacking the ipod" brings up a bunch of stuff, but I think this is what you want..

You have to authorize the second computer on your iTunes account. AFAIK you can back up your iTunes purchases.
