Same here. Go to Control Panel, Programs, click and click Remove.

Wink

Just back date your computer. Or called restore your computer to any date, like last week or so.

MS is rating IE7 a "critical update" so if Windows Update is set fully-automatic IE7 will haunt you. Change Windows Update settings through Security Center.

No need to be "haunted". It's possible to tell updater "don't ever bother me with this crap again" -- it's a check box that appears in the updater dialog box when you've specifically *deselected* one of the recommended updates, including IE7.

If you need IE7 later, you'll need to download it separately.

I installed Ex7 twice and twice removed it. Would not connect to internet at all. Add/Remove on control panel.

Or, depending on which Windows CD you have, it may be on that.

Hi there,
I actually came across a website last night when looking for itunes. Oldapps.com has a bunch of older software. Here is the link to the IE page.

http://www.oldapps.com/internet_explorer.htm

I cant say i ever downloaded anything yet from that site, but I bookmarked it just in case.

Opera is the best browser ever in my opinion lol
you can conform it to how you want it to appear and it is much faster with better tools

The only problem is that since they have made IE7 a critical update, if you go back to IE6, they probably won't continue to update IE6 for new security vulnerabilities.

I normally use Firefox, which I like much better than IE6. From what I have seen, they have made IE7 a lot more like Firefox--some of it is clearly copycat.

thanks for all the replies, after I got over the initial "shock" of IE 7 "looking" different I actually now like it. The whole tabs thing is very handy and eliminated having multiple browsers open, guess i will just leave it. Thanks
