Internet Browser

I use Juno as my ISP. I have been using IE as my browser. I also have Firefox loaded and like it much better. I have tried to get rid of IE, but no luck. How can I set up Firefox as my default browser? Thanks.

In Firefox, goto Tools, Options. On the main section at the bottom it has a section called System Defaults. Click the Check Now button, and then click Yes.

Don't get rid of IE, as alot of sites, such as insurance, credit cards, mortgage accounts, etc (if you pay online) won't work with any other browser. In addition if you go to get windows updates, you have to use IE to do it. After all settles down, go back to Firefox. Much better browser.

Thanks, Chandler. I will keep IE.
I have to use Firefox for Mapquest. IE will not display the maps.
Thanks for all your good advice on this forum.

FWIW, I use Firefox for mostly everything, and have no problem with my banking CC, Paypal, and Ebay (mostly).

I have IE7, and use that mostly for the Live Local aerial views.
