restarting a router without disrupting downloads

hi,im just wondering is there a way to restart your router so u start off with low packets without disrupting or ending a download...im just wondering is there a way around that....cuz im dling a 2gb file...but my packets are about 3,000,000 recieving....and its kind of lagging everything....so i want to restart my router but without ending or disrupting my download....and no the file doesnt have any torrent/manager dls....just straight from IE..

Pause the download, restart the router, restart the download..

where is the pause button on a IE download window? only close, cancel, and save

Can't pause in IE. You would need some sort of download manager or use Firefox.
