Combo cardbus question
I'm looking at getting one of these cardbus combo (UBS/Firewire) cards for my Dell 1Ghz. W2K-SP4 laptop for two reasons.
I need a 6-pin wirewire connection to supply power to a video device. Also, am I correct that if I use an external card for USB I'll be able to access USB 2.0 on this older Dell? Currently I have only USB 1.0 from the sockets on the unit.
I know I had to do this with my older Dell desktops to get USB 2.0 to work. Is it the same principle, here?
Thanks!
