Tip on Vista Start Menu

I like the Aero look on Vista but I donít like the ďAll ProgramsĒ entry at the bottom of the Start Menu which I find too difficult to navigate thru. Here is a very simple alternative.

Navigate on Explorer to C:\Program Data\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs. Right click on Programs, select Sent to, Desktop (create shortcut).

Go to the Desktop and drag this shortcut to the Quick Launch bar. Now you have easy access to the Start Menu, Explorer style.

You can also customize the Programs folder by adding / modifying the entries to your needs

Ya, I have yet to tweak my Vista.

It took a few days to turn off all the unwanted junk, like the side bar and the transparency.

I do not like the Start > All Programs set up either.
