cd/dvd driver problems

i have a emachines about 3 years old and i can no longer burn cds.it has a combo ide4816co drive when were i try to burn files it says please onsert a disk into drive D:. or it says Windows Media Player cannot access the file. The file might be in use, you might not have access to the computer where the file is stored, or your proxy settings might not be correct.
can somebody help me with this problem thanks.

It sounds like the file you are trying to burn has been moved from its original location or there has been a hardware change of some sort.
