iPod library move

Got an iPod last year and have since switched to a different computer. I had hoped that the data on the iPod itself would load into iTunes on the new computer, but I get a message that the iPod in question is synced to a different library. In anticipation of this, I loaded all of the iTunes stuff in My Documents\My Music\iTunes onto a flash drive before disposing of the old machine. Will replacing some or all of these files/folders on the new machine with those from the old one solve my problem? If so, which do I move?

iTunes has an export/import function. Did you try that?

A lot of people are complaining about this. The iPod and the original iTuners folder hold the sync info. Change one or the other and it looks like pirating to both, so they shut off the connectivity.

Sorry I can't help with a workaround, but I swore off both the first time they told me I had to pay more to listen to the music I aready owned.

Just thought I'd throw in an update:

I replaced everything in My Documents\My Music\iTunes with what I had put on the flash drive from the old computer and everything works great.
