can't play computer games

everything was working fine Thursday but now i can't run any games. when i try to play trainz railroad simulator i get this

renderingsystem failure

your computer and or software is unable to communicate correctly with trainz. Ensure you have drectX9 installed the drivers for your video card (I.E at www.nvidia.com or www.ati.com) tried both opening GI and directX settings. Trainz launcher-> configure trainz> display settings. if the above does not work please consult your manual or visit technical support at http://www.auran.com/trainz/technical_support.htm
when i try other games they start to open then just close without any error messages. i can play DVDs so the i know the video card is not fried.allthough when i tried one dvd i got this message
dieses programm benotist mindestens 4mb freie speicherkapazitat
which is german for
this programm benotist at least 4mb free speicherkapazitat
it was a concert dvd of the german band rammstein

tried another dvd worked fine.

I have directX9 installed and the computer says its working fine so is the card and codecs. i have uninstalled the game and reinstalled it and still get the error. why would the games just quit over night.

Maybe you should have played "Deutschland uber alles"
Maybe your machine is longing for the old days?
I think you should have your graphic card checked at the store.
Good luck.............

Try reinstalling the video card driver. Can't hurt ...
