Post Rechargeable Batteries

Hi,

I fully charged my 2000mAh AA batteries to go to a wedding yesterday and I got about 25-35 shots and my battery died. Is that all I am supposed to get out of it?? My rechargeable batteries are 1.5 yrs old.

Thanks,

sweetboy

I had some 2300mAh that lasted for 600+ shots and some 2500mAh of the same brand that will only get 100.

Might be other factors at play, such as if you have the preview screen on a lot, use indoor flash more often, if it is very cold, when they were last charged (they lose charge over time). They should last a bit longer than 35 shots though.

So far, I've had the best luck with Kodak rechargeable batteries. Been lasting for 200-300 pics. If you have the LCD on all the time, it will drain the batteries. Use the viewfinder instead.

Rechargeable batteries are cheap. Why not buy a second set as a backup? I keep spares in the camera case. A pair of good ol' alkalines can be used if you're in a pinch.
