changing icons and avatars

I had to reconfigure my computer and now All my Icons or avitars(?), the symbols that preceed my program list and favorites list are generic and the same. How can I get them so they are back to the company or website trademarks. I am running Windows XP.
Thank you for your help

Right click on the desktop, left click on properties and the drop down menu in themes. Change it there.

For the icons on the desktop you right click on the desktop, left click on properties and click on the drop down menu. Choose the theme you want there.

For file type icons, open explorer, click on tools, folder options, flie types. highlight what you want to change and click advanced, change icon.
