Samsung NC10-14GW NETBOOK

Is anybody familiar with the Samsung NC10 - NETBOOK?
http://laptoping.com/samsung-nc10-14gw.html
I do some traveling and like to work on the plane; but the seats are so tight, unless I'm in "First Class" I can't comfortably use my notebook........

This Samsung seams like the perfect solution. Obviously it wouldn't be my main workhorse............
Here's some specs:
* Intel Centrino 2 Processor Technology
* 10.2" Widescreen (1024x600 WSVGA, 220 nits)
* Intel Atom processor N270 (1.6GHz, 533MHz FSB, 512 KB Level 2 Cache)
* 160GB 2.5" HDD, 5400 RPM SATA
* 1GB DDR2 RAM, 800 MHz, (expandable to 2 GB)
* Intel 945GSE shared Graphics
* 802.11 b/g WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR, 10/100BaseTX LAN
* 6-Cell Lithium Ion, 5200 mAh Battery
* 1.3 Mega Pixel webcam
* Kensington Key Lock
* 3-in-1 Multi-memory Card Slot (SD, SDHC, MMC)
* NO optical drive.
* Microsoft XP Home with Service Pack 3

Thanks,
Phil

Hi,
I just joined this forum tonight, and your question was probably already answered, but....

This laptop looks like it would be good for traveling.
It's lightweight, and on the smaller side.

Some things to note though:
1) No optical drive. You can't use CD's or DVD's of any kind unless you buy an external optical drive. (Major con in my mind)
2) XP Home cannot connect to a Domain/Active Directory. If your company uses domains, you can't connect to it. (At least you won't have the same resources as you would if it was XP Pro).
3) In todays world, 1gig memory will do if you're only creating documents, spreadsheets and the like. Presentations, WebMeetings would DEFINATELY need the memory upgrade. (2gig really is better anyway).

Bottom line, it seems this would be a good lightweight laptop for travel purposes only.
You'd want to be sure you have a way to synchronize this laptop to your "Main Workhorse" so you can easily go back and forth.

Hope it helped, if you even still needed help.
