Video Card Question

I am going to building a new PC. The motherboard I'm using has no on board video. The video card is a Geforce 9800 GX2. My question is, will this card work without drivers sufficiently to install the OS or will I need to buy a low end card to get it up and running?

Yes, it will work just fine. Make sure your motherboard has a PCIe2 x16 slot and your power supply is ample enough (580 watts min)
