External Hard Drives

What is the highest external HD out?
I have seen 2TB

What is the best deals on the external HD?

Also I have a Gateway CPU and wanted to take advantage of the Portable Media Drive Tray.

What are the best deals on something that is compatible with that type of tray?

Thanks for your time.

I can't speak for the drive tray, but I recently read in an e-mail forum about some consistently bad luck people were having with 1.5TB and 2TB drives. One very knowledgeable person on that forum builds video editing systems. He said the largest he installs right now is 1TB.

I've always had good experiences dealing with newegg.com

Western Digital

I just bought a 320gb western digital. I love it. It turns off when my computer is turned off, its plug and play. Downside it comes loaded w/ files(instructions/user guide) that are in other languages. So I did delete all but the english ones. I have over about 5000 pics on there, 2 call of duty games, all my documents, and a lot of other stuff and I still have about 200gb left.

What do you plan on storing on this 1 or 2tb hd?? Hope you have a crap load of movies. Circuit city is going out of business so I bet you could find a great deal there. GOOD LUCK
