msie 7 keeps closing
Hello
My msie 7 Explorer keeps shutting down and below is the information I could salvage.
I am not techy enough to diagnose the Microsoft site information.
When it happened I copied some information;
Int explorer has encounterted a problem and needs to close -sorry for the inconvenince and your information may be lost. Plese send error report.
I opened the messge which said,"Error signature - App Name:ieexplore.eve AppVerr:7.0.6000.1672 Mod name:NTdll.dll
Question, please; If I remove Eplorer 7 in add/remove, how will I be able to get online again to download it all over again?
Is any version of msie in my operating system disk or somewhere so I can get on line to redownload msie7?
Thank you

If you had IE6 on the machine before IE7 you should be able to revert, either by uninstalling IE7 or using System Restore to go back to an earlier config before IE7 was installed.
To be sure, though, I would download and install Mozilla Firefox. Then uninstall IE7. You may find that you'll like Firefox a whole lot better. Since I installed it, I've never clicked the IE icon.

Hello
Thank you for the ideas which I will do after I solve this for learning sake.
I found that it is an add-on issue by disabling all add-ons and not having any trouble. Now I have disabled all except one add -on for a while then enabling another etc etc till the bad one causes a problem.
I wonder if then you are suppose to remove the program with the bad add-on or just keep the bad add-on disabled?
Thank you

Brand new Dell and IE7 what a pain. Computer son installed the FireFox (link above from Rick) and it works great, or should I say it works which is a lot more than I can say for ie7. :bad poster:

I had the Beta of IE8 on my old PC before I killed it, and I'll tell you what...it worked great for 99% of the sites I visit and as fast as FF or Chrome. Had all the features of FF and more. Wife also uses FF and Chrome...she loves the speed of Chrome, but again, FF has a few features yet to be added to Chrome.
I'll probably be trying IE8 again when it is in final release.
