HP Laptop

Can someone tell me how hard it is to replace a motherboard in an HP laptop computer.

I an HP widescreen laptop and the charging port no longer works. Took it to BestBuy and they want 85 bucks to ship it off to find out what it will cost to repair. The geek said it was probably the motherboard and would cost about half of the cost of the laptop to replace.

While I am not a geek, I have some tech saavy. I am wondering if I can find a motherboard on the internet for a fair price and replace it myself.

I would appreciate any info anyone can provide.

Pretty easy. You will need a jewels tool set, or a small philips screwdriver.

If you post the laptop model, HP should have a step by step.
