vista home

if i get a computer with vista home will computer games that require xp home work or no. i have a game that requires windows 98 but it works on XP.

most programs will work. Some of them you can launch (by right clicking on them) in what vista calls compatability mode.

You right click/properties/compatability and choose the options that best fit this program.. if it does not work normally. I would say at least 50% probably will work just fine.

Just make sure it is Vista 32 bit and not 64bit

I lost a lot of good programs because of Vista 64
My buddy has 32 & they work fine on his PC

NOt sure what the technical term would be of the difference, just know a lot of software and drivers are not written to run on 64 bit system. alot of hardware requires 63 bit drivers some will atill work but not worth the chance.
