excel fomula help!

The following is an excel formula that is not exactly what I want it woks and it close to what I want

=IF(($B57*$C$12)<100,100,IF(($B57*$C$12)>100,($B57*$C$12)))

What I really want to say is

IF B27*$C$12 = 0,0

IF(($B57*$C$12)> 1 but <100,100

IF(($B57*$C$12)>100,($B57*$C$12)))

Can anyone help ? I will need it including ( ) placed correctly

Think I understand it now..

Few options..

1. A cleaned up version of what you started.
=IF(($B57*$C$12)=0,0,IF(($B57*$C$12)<100,100,($B57*$C$12)))

-or-

2. A "vlookup" formula

Thats exactly what I needed. It appears where i screwed up was in the last statement not the 1st. For 3 days I was working uner a false assumption. What was confusing is the origonal formula actually did what it stated.

Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it.

No problem!

I love working with Excel. The fact that you can get instant feedback on it working or not is the best.
