Monitor Display Goes Off & On
I have an HP LP2065 monitor that is fairly new. I am currently running a new Nvidia video card. After the monitor has been running 10-15 minutes, the display will suddenly go black as if it shut off and then immediately reappear. It lasts just about 2 seconds tops. Sometimes it happens once during a session, sometimes 4 or 5 times. It's pretty annoying.
I've checked all my connections and can't find anything loose. Any thoughts?

I'd guess overheating maybe? Blow everything out or vacumn it recently?
Even tight connections can have bad cables. Might want to replace the video cable at least..thats cheap.

Use another monitor and see if you're having the same issue. You can deduce to where the root cause is that way.
If it's from the computer (or that you're still having the same issue), then I'd try the video card. Swap it out or just update the driver/firmware from its manufacturer site, in this case, nvidia.com. If it isn't your video card, then its probably OS related.. boot up safe mode and see if it's happening. If that is still happening, then start taking out your peripherals piece by piece.. well.. let me know when you actually get to it..

Okay, I'm trying the easiest suggestions first and working from there.
Have switched monitors and no problems.
Switched out video cables with no effect.
Downloaded the latest updates from the HP site and even though I already had them, reinstalled them. Problem still happens.
Can't imagine it's overheating because it's in a very open area and it's only on for 10-15 minutes when the problem kicks in, but I suppose stranger things have happened so it's possible.
Moving on to the other suggestions. Thanks.

If you say you switched monitors and have no problems, then there's something wrong with that monitor, or your system's incompatibility with that monitor. When you hook that problematic monitor to another pc, does it repeat?

Unfortunately, I don't have another PC to hook it up to.
I took my old CRT that I keep in the basement and when I hooked it up to my PC, it ran fine with no issues.
