Web Site Building

I'd like to make a few video files accessible to some collegues online. Email is not an option since the files are typically large (one example is over 100 MB). I have web space available from my ISP (shaw.ca) & have managed to put together a simple page but am getting lost when it comes to placing videos on it. There is also a file size limitation.

Another issue is getting decent quality playback.

Are there other, better options? Can I set up an FTP site? Does that require that I have a dedicated, always-on computer?

My knowledge of all of this is rudimentary at best.

Open to suggestions.

P.S. I've also tried some of the free, large file transfer sites but they are extremely slow.

Hi Editor,

I'd suggest this approach
1 - Convert your video files to Flash format, this will reduce the size but not the quality. There are several free converters, you can go to Download.com, there are several free / free to try / paid options
2 - Open an account (free) at youtube.com or other free video host website--> upload your videos--> don't forget to set your videos as Private--> so the video will not appear on search results, playlists etc and you can set the names of the persons autorized to see the video
3 - In you page at shaw.ca you can set buttons with links or directly set the links to your videos
