This site only, menu bar problems

I don't get any drop down menu under quick links like I used to. It just changes the bar to other things..like "mark forums read" and "open contacts list". Also the quick reply doesn't seem to be working...for me...lol.

Using FF latest version...works fine in IE8..but I prefer FF.

FF 3.5.2 works fine. Guess it's time to upgrade, huh, Scott?

OK, FF 3.5.5 works fine, too.

Meh, since the last update (or maybe the last, last update) every time I put my comp in hibernation and bring it out again I have to restart FF because it says it can't connect to the internet. Updating is not always the best thing.

Mine does the same thing. And when I do get back on, all sites like this I have to log back into.

Gunguy, you might try clearing your cache.

Maybe reinstall Firefox. I tried it in Seamonkey, Opera, Firefox, and Konqueror and no problem. Do you have Javascript turned on? Try it with your AV and firewall off.

Yeah..I may have to try that...Java is on.
It works fine in IE and Chrome for me as well..
Its just annoying that it just started when the site was having all the problems. My last FF update was 11/6 and it was fine after that.

Just discovered something else..when I click the quick links (expecting the drop down) and it jumps to the different menu bar...then the quick reply will work. Odder and odder....

EDIT...ok even weirder...turned everything (anti spyware, popup block, AntiV) off to test no change...then remembered adblock. Low and behold..its working correctly with ABP off albeit kinda slow because of all the ads. So possibly I have something blocked in ABP that is causing it to act so wierd. Something to work on anyway..not as frustrating as not knowing.

Before you do anything hasty you could always give Google chrome a spin. I tried it and it is a pretty good browser.

I've had Chrome installed since it came out...wifey uses it as her main browser. I didn't use it much since it didn't have some features or much support..prob a lot better now. But I resisted switching to FF until just this year when I kept having issues with the IE upgrade..lol. Now that I'm used to it I don't want to switch again...

I think I've got it working..it was definitely something in ABP...I cleared it and reblocked as needed and it seems to be OK so far...

No not Java, Javascript. They are two very different things.

Yeah, I forgot about ABP. Great program/add on, but it will zap anything with an advertisement in it, so I guess we should check that first. Glad to know it worked out. I'll keep ABP in mind.
