Delete Administrator Account?

If you've read my previous posting, you'll know that I am trying to eliminate the extra step of clicking on which account I wish to log on to at boot up. I dumbly deleted the wrong account and now have rebuilt it but I am still left with this one and an Administrator account. The new profile has Administrator rights but I am not offered the option to delete the actual Administrator one. Is this possible to do? If I rename the Administrator account, will I be able to delete it?

Edit: I just watched a 'Related Video' on the right side of this page explaining How to Unlock the Hidden Vista Administrator Account' using a line at the CMD prompt 'Net user administrator /active:yes'

Can I simply do this and enter 'no' to eliminate that account at bootup?

Even though I'm on Vista, I gave the article a read. Thanks again Tom.

BTW, I did the command line routine ('Net user administrator /active:yes') and switched the answer to 'no' -- worked :-)

Wish I'd known this a few days ago ... could've saved myself a lot of grief.

I don't know Vista, but XP has autologon-related entries in the Registry.
