Windows 7

I have a few 5 to7 year old computers that I to reformat hard drive and either put lenix or window 7 on. Question is do you think 7 will run on something this old? How much ram do you need for 7?

I believe its minimum of 3gb ram. But wirepuller is correct, download and run that upgrade advisor and it will tell you if your PC will run 7

Windows 7 requires 1GB ram, and I wanna say a 1.0GHz processor. I have an eMachines running windows 7 with 2GB ram, and actually less because it has onboard video which sucks up close to 256MB of memory. Before it had 2GB of memory it only had 1GB of memory and still ran Windows 7 fine. But given the age of your systems, it would be advisable to download the Windows 7 upgrade adviser.
