Not by a long shot.
A Blue Ray movie can be up to 25 GB for a single layer disk and a DVD is under 5 for a burnable disk.

You have only made a movie playable on a Blue Ray Player.

I don't even know why you'd change the format...

AFAIK all Blu-Ray players will play DVDs and upscale them as much as possible.

Making a copy of a DVD and burning it to a Blu-ray disc (if thats what you did) is kind of a waste...unless you are putting multiple movies on 1 disk. I don't even know if that can be done...

DVD vs Blueray

DVD specs are
480 x 720 ( full D1 ) @ mpeg2 compression
320 x 480 ( Half D1 ) @ mpeg2 compression

bit rates can vary but you rarely see a movie encoded ( video plus audio ) beyond 7.5Mb

Blueray specs are ( common )

1280 x 720 ( I or P ) @ mpeg 4 compression ( H.264 / Mpeg4 AVC )
1920 x 1080 ( I or P ) @ mpeg 4 compression ( H.264 / Mpeg4 AVC )

bit rates can vary but you rarely see a movie ( video plus audio ) encoded beyond 35.Mb

your source video will not look any better if you upconvert to Bluray specs inside of Adobe if the source video is shot in standard definition ( 480 x 720 )
as other said a bluray player will play a standard dvd and upconvert for you.
