Recommend a Laptop/Desktop

Hey everyone,

I'm looking at getting a cheap laptop/netbook for my carputer setup. It will serve a few purposes - music, navigation, video, basic internet, etc. and also it will serve as a scan tool since I am going to be getting an OBD-USB connector.

Just wondering if anyone here has any suggestions for a good laptop/netbook around the $300-$400 mark. I'm looking for solid performance and a decent sized hard drive for music and whatnot.

Thanks.

I just bought (or recently bought) 7 Dell net books. SO far they are all serving their purpose. I have guys that go around the country writing and they are perfect because they are small and are good for travel.

Now, they are netbooks, and have limitations. Said limitations are no dvd player. If you need to use dvd or cd's you will need to have a peripheral.

All of these cost about 300 a piece.

Toshiba makes a 15" laptop fro about $500.

Netbooks in my opinon are great but don't expect them to last more than a year and a half.
