Posting Links On doityourself forums

I've been skulking around the forums for some time but, I don't know how to add a link to a post. No matter how I read the instructions it wont work for me.

Since I'm dumb as a brick on a computer is there any baby talk way to tell me?

Shacko, do you mean just a link to a page? Just type or paste the full URL and the forum hardware will make it clickable.

Ray's correct. The easiest way to add a link is to:
1. Visit the page you want to link to.
2. Copy the URL from the address bar by highlighting it with the mouse and pressing Ctrl and C (or Edit/Copy).
3. Create your new post on the DIY site.
4. Hit Ctrl and V (or Edit/Paste).

I think that the problem has something to do with my browser, it only shows part of the URL, it has a small window in it so when I copy and paste I only get part of the address; I went to the dummies forum and it works there even without the complete URL

I can't get it to work here.

Instead of highlighting it by dragging (which I think is what you're doing), just click on it anywhere and it should turn a color (probably blue), then right-click on it and pick copy from the drop down menu. See if that helps any.

Another way is to click anywhere inside the URL then hit CTRL+A then CTRL+C to copy. Different browers will react differently. I use Seamokey and it has a little icon on the left and clicking it highlights the whole URL.

Your test appears to work if you were trying to link to a site called TOTO.
