I think you've asked this question already and it's been answered. Don't think they're working on anything at the moment since 7 just came out and there doesn't seem to be any problems with it.
Is there a reason you want a new version? I like 7, myself.

Maybe the question should be do you want to continue to use the worlds second most expensive operating system, the only operating system vulnerable to viruses and malware or switch to a free operating syastem that is not vulnerable to viruses or malware and is as easy or easier to use then Windows.

Sugest you download the latest version of PclinuxOS at Built Penguin Tough PCLinuxOS. You can test it out as a live CD without installing.

Actually there is another flavor of Windows in the works. I wanna say it's called Windows 8. I have not much more information than that, other than Windows 7 is the last MS operating system that is going to work on single core processors. Anything after 7 is going to be a 64bit OS.

Nope Windows 7 is the last 32bit OS that MS is releasing. Again I have not much info past that. When it's realeased as a beta test I'll be able to better know what's going on with it, because I'm a beta tester.
