You can still use IE if thats what you had before....all the settings should still be there. You can have as many browsers as you want.

I believe there is a way to import all that to FF. Yes...see this...Importing favorites and other data from Internet Explorer

FF calls things slightly different names..but overall is a much better browser...the new IE8 copied many of the FF features.

You may also want to look for the Firefox extension "Plain Old Favorites". This allows you to use IE favorites and even save new favorites to IE favorites from FireFox. You can set your home page to any thing you want in Firefox. It is under the General Tab in Preferences. It has been a long time since I used the Windows version but I think Preferences is under Tools. If not try Edit.

It is also a good idea to check the FireFox forums at Molzillazine every few days to know whats happening with FireFox ans learn more about it. http://forums.mozillazine.org/index.php

After you get settled in with firefox, don't forget to install AdblockPlus. You won't regret it. Holey moley, I just opened this site on IE, while waiting for my 180 second penalty box, and what a malarkey of advertisements!. You won't have that with FF.
