Windows 7 - the good, bad and the ugly

Just purchased a Dell Inspiron that came with Windows 7.

Anybody currently using this product want to provide a review?

Any bugs or issues I should be aware of?

I have 2 computers, both with Win7. I've had no problems at all. The only thing I can think of is, if you use Outlook Express, you'll have to d/l Windows Live which replaces it. Also d/l Microsoft's Security Essentials.

I've been using 7 for a while now (6 months?) and I like it. Ditto the Outlook Express/Windows Live idea.

Have run into a couple problems with other products not being compatible, but that happens

64 bits

the only issue i have with it so far is most new computers are sold with the 64 bit version, i have one computer i built up with the 32 bit version, and my new laptop with the 64 it version, but i am finding that most 32 bit programs install ad work fine under 64 bit, and those that do not work at first can be set to XP mode sp3 and then work fine under the program settings. it's the occasional driver that might not be out just yet for 64 bit, but so far i have found drivers for all my hardware/ applications that require them.
It's far superior to Vista.

I switched from XP when I had a major crash couple of months ago. So far I like it fine; only issue I had was my old Hauppage video capture card won't work anymore.

I think Win7 is a HUGE improvement over Vista and leap years beyond XP. Packed full of features, very stable. I have not had any problems whatsover with it.

I think it's a nuisance, especially when usig a touchpad on a laptop. There was no need to change the appearance, and all "the features" most of us don't need or use. had it for amonth now and still trying to navigate my way around versus just plug and play.
