system restore

Win 7 x 64
I cannot move the slide on system restore to increase space. I just formatted and reinstalled and set three restore points.
Any ideas?

It can't be less than what's being used for the restore points. Are you trying to make it less than that? I think it's around 5% of your total disc space.

I am trying to move the slide to increase the space available - to the right.
When I do it, it automatically returns to the extreme left. It appears it is only providing space for the points created.
I guess that will be ok.

OK, but can I ask what for? You really don't need any more restore points than what you have now. Every morning your computer starts up, a new restore point is made and one of the older ones are deleted. And since your computer's being updated constantly, you wouldn't want to go back too far. Then, you only need to create a new one manually if you're installing new software or updating a driver.
