browser

Generally speaking, what should be checked in the "Delete browsing history on exit" box?
I have the single box checked regarding delete browsing history on exit on the properties page.

Also, any idea when MSIE 9 will no longer be Beta?
Thank you

I check them all. But use free ATF cleaner.

ATF Cleaner - Free software downloads and software reviews - CNET Download.com

I also use CC cleaner, malwarebytes, spybot. All free.

Are you using beta? I was afraid to download it.

I'm using the beta on one of my computers and it's nothing to write home about.
At first it was faster, but lately, it's slower than ever. Some webpages don't load well with it and others don't work at all.
You can undo it tho, but I figure I'll keep using it and send the feedback in the meantime.

int options

I would wait until M$ indicates it is available when it does updates of your pc but no harm done if you downloaded it now.
My Norton Internet security Suite does most of what I want but I was curious about the boxes in MSIE8.
I think only users who can maneuver the registry should be using registry cleaners.
They are tempting but not worth the harm they can do.
At least image or backup your system to an external location if you are going to use one.

I don't bother with any of the IE functionality, I run CCleaner at least once a day to clear everything out instead

There's no harm being done to your computer with the beta. Just doesn't work well with some websites. I use Firefox if IE isn't cooperating.
