You buy a license when you buy the software and it's only good for one computer

Don't they have a version that can be used on up to 3 computers?

They sell one called the "Family Pack" for $150, which isn't a bad deal (considering a single upgrade version is $100). It comes with 3 upgrade licenses. However, it is ONLY available in upgrade (from Vista), and it is ONLY available in Home Premium (not Pro or Ultimate). They don't make a multi license pack with full versions. Home Premium is $200, Pro is $300, and Ultimate is $320 per computer.
