Disc Startup

Hello,

Have three computers we reqularly use....All started out life fine. Now they all have the same small but irritating issue.

In the past, when I put in a new program disc, a start screen of the program was displayed and all was fine.

Now, I put in a disc (latest was a new router disc), the Drive spins, the light lights, and nothing else happens....One has to go start and find the autorun.exe or startup program instead.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Disk

Look for the disk in "Windows Explorer". Double left click on the disk.

Hi,

Right click on the disk drive in the my computer folder, and click on properties. Then select the auto run tab. You can set to have the disk run automatically or prompt for various applications such as music, pictures, mixed content, etc...

Microsoft sent an update for XP, Vista and 7 that turned off autorun by default. Apparently it closed a security loophole.
