Netbook Window Sizing?

I have installed a photo editing program on my netbook. The only problem I have found is that the window that opens to change the program preferences is too tall to fit the screen so I can never click the "OK" button at the bottom to accept my changes. There is no "minimize" or "restore down" button in the upper right of the window, only the red X. Is there a trick or combination of key strokes to resize this window or allow me to grab it so I can slide it up to get at the "OK" button?

Does it resize if you double click on the frame of the window?

No, it does not resize if I double click on the frame.

It's cumbersome but I could resort to changing the screen resolution while I get at the things I need to change. Anything other than the native 600 high looks really squished so I'd have to change back to 1024x600 when finished.

Have you tried holding down the Ctrl (control) key and using the - key to re size small enough to do the job? Also when you do get it small enough why not re-size the window of the program? Mearly click on the center top of the program window and while holding down the mouse button move down therefore resizing the window. It should stay smaller so when you return to the program next time it will be smaller and save all this maneuvering around!

No joy. Ctrl - or + has no affect on the window. I tired resizing the program's window but the window that opens when I select "preferences" is always the same size. Luckily it's not something I need to access very often.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that the program is Adobe Lightroom 3.0.

I found this but I don't remember where. Maybe it will help.
I have a Dell Mini running Win XP. I have a post on this forum about how to make it work just fine.

Here's the brief steps.

1. Right click the desktop .

2. select Properties.

3. Click Settings.

4. Click Advanced

5. Click Monitor.

6. Uncheck "Hide modes that this monitor csan't display.:

7. Return to "settings."

8. Set Screen Resolution to 1024 by 768

9. Accept all and return to desktop.

Now you can get to all functions in all programs by scrolling up and down -- a little slow, but it works fine.

Thanks. I'll give it a try tomorrow.
