Photo editing program

The photo editing program i had on my computer is nowhere to found.

I'm looking for a free editing program where i can do simple red eye removal,lighten/darken images, etc. in " My picture" folders.

Thanks for any suggestions.

First thing to try.

If you click the windows icon there should be a box that says "Search programs and files".
If you enter the name of the program you had it may appear.
You may have only lost the short cut.

Try IRFanView. It is my main editor even though I also have GIMP because it is simple and easy to use. IrfanView - Official Homepage - one of the most popular viewers worldwide

Open a photo folder; right click on one of the photos and click on "Open With". What program options does it give?

I have win7, and the included Windows Live Photo Gallery does what you need, so you may have something similar.

If you want a nice, free photo editing program, give Paint.NET a try. Paint.NET - Free Software for Digital Photo Editing

I thought I had seen an article about two years ago in pcworld magazine about free photo editors and I was right. The list is a bit old and some of what was mentioned here is on their list but it gives you a few extra options plus read the comments section some people talk about more free software you can look up. Here is the link Free Image Editors for Everyone--Even Experts | PCWorld . This should give you more than enough options so you can edit pictures. I hope one of these works well for you!

Photobucket.com is awesome and free. It's easy and basic. I absolutely love it. If you don't like it, I know of a few others similar.
