MS Picture Manager issue
Customers send me blueprints as attachments; when I try to print it, it goes to Picture Manager and prints the image the size of a postage stamp on regular 8 1/2 X 11 paper.
Even when I try things like "print full page" or try to change from portrait to landscape, it has no effect....
Latest occurrance was a jpg file. I'm not sure if that's always the case.

Microsoft Office 2003
Windows 7 pro
What am I missing?

Yes, the response minimum is a spam prevention method.
Do you see any options regarding the display size/print size in the print preview?

Lawrosa, it's not isolated to only one customer. This incident is a jpg file that has the MS Picture Manager "logo" icon. (Could the icon be applied by my computer ?)
I've used Tools to clear all file types to be "opened with Picture Manager, thereby letting the default program open the file. No difference. Or is my default program Picture Manager?
Mitch17, the only real option I see is a check box for "fit picture to frame" - which has no impact. On the right side of the window, it says "full page photo", but I see no options to change that.

That's a good question. Which I can't immediately answer. (As you can probably tell, I'm not the sharpest crayon in the box) I don't see an option to change the file type. I open the attachment, then go File/Save As. The "save as type" drop down menu is grey -not allowing any changes.
I can only assume that I'm approaching this procedure incorrectly...

Try bringing up the picture, right clicking and choose Edit picture. On the right you should see cropping. Try cropping to the edge of the pix on sides and top/bottom. This should bring your pix to full size. Save it and reopen it. I've been doing some genealogy and no picture or newspaper article is the same size. Doing what I described make it much easier. You can, at that point, change the overall size of the picture, but it won't work until you crop it.

Wait a minute!!! First thing we need to know the original file type.
Go to the original attachment and right click on it. Then go to properties and tell us what it says. Should say type of file.
I mean if they created a blueprint in say "visio" and you do not have that program you will never be able to print it correctly in its original format.. All they may have sent to you is a jpeg copy of it only.

Chandler, the when I open the file, it fills the screen. If I try to crop even a half inch off both L & W, it has no effect. The print preview still shows a thumbnail.
Lawrosa, all "Properties" says is that the file is a JPG.

You have to go in and edit in your printing preferences. In the advanced tab there should be enlarge /reduce....etc.
But also if the resolution is low from the original file that may be why its printing that way.
Right click on the file, go to properties and tell us the size of the file.
You can also right click of the j peg and click " open with" and chose another program like paint.
( I feel its in your printer settings.)

Firstly, I appreciate your efforts.
File size is 207 KB. 2338 X 1700 pixels.
** 2:05 update; I changed the default from MS Picture Manager to Windows Photo Viewer. And there's still no change.
