Tax forms on Excel?

Does anyone know if there is a place you can buy or download income tax forms in Microsoft Excel format? I'm not looking for anything on a large scale like Turbo Tax or something like that. Just the tax forms created on Excel, with the fields properly positioned and formulas for math created. That way, you can just fill in the fields; Excel will do the math, and you can print it out ready to send!

We have done our time sheets at work on Excel and it works great.

Thanks.

I don't know of any, AND, it would have to be an IRS approved format anyway. Turbo Tax is not that expensive, and it is very user friendly.

Thanks for the response. What you say seems to be true - I've been searching the web & haven't found anything.

Since we're on the topic of Turbo Tax, what do you do about the tax forms each year? Can you just buy following years' forms for a nominal extra charge?

If you buy Turbo Tax, each year, it will import last years data from your previous tax filing, and all you have to do is update it for the current year. Save a lot of typing about all of your ssn, names, addresses, investments, etc. If you have complex taxes, rental property, like-kind exchanges on real estate, etc, it is worth buing the deluxe version.
