[External Monitor Help] Dell 630 with Windows 7
Just wondering if anyone has found a solution for getting Windows 7 to run an external monitor on a Dell 630. No sign of any drivers on the Dell site, anyone had any luck with this problem??

Microsoft has a compatibility virtual p.c. mode that allows some Windows XP programs to run on Windows 7 and you can find Microsoft's page for that here Download Windows XP Mode . For some things like printers for instance this software works fine. As for the Dell drivers for changing the different screens I really can't say. All you can do is try downloading the driver for the function keys and then hopefully it will work once you get that from Microsoft. Once you do that then you would press the Fn key and the F8 key simultaneously. Have you tried doing that already? If you haven't then give it a try first before trying that as there is no guarantee. I downloaded that software from Microsoft and it helped with my older version of Word 2000 that I had at the time. It is said to help other older programs too besides the printers I just mentioned. Good luck to you!
