is there any way to record the sound longer in sound recorder in windows98?

There are tricks, but I'd get a separate wave recorder program, which will be much better than the Windows one.

Download musicmatchjukebox_6000255.exe from the internet. It's about 8.44 MB and it will do everything you need it to do.

That on is a little big perhaps. I use one called
CDwav, and I am pretty well sure the download is well under
1 Meg.
