Where Can I Buy FLAC Music?

Other than ripping CD's, where can I (legally) get FLAC or WAV music from? There's a few songs that came out, and I'm not paying $1.29 for a MP3 file, as I can hear the difference between MP3 and lossless.

Sadly most (all?) sites that offer lossless downloads have very limited choices, very high prices--or usually both. It's cheapest to buy a CD off Amazon, rip it to FLAC, then sell it back.

Does anyone under the age of 40 buy music anymore?

Once you sell the CD you no longer own the rights to have the music in any form, and is the same as stealing the music. Just saying .

Those are the ones I first tried, they don't have any of the newly released music that's just coming on Sirius.

That's how it seems. And I'll be honest that I don't usually unless I can't find it in a torrent. I figure what I pay for my Sirius subscription is enough.

Well I asked my 14 year old what he does. He said dad, I us you tube to mp3 converter. Any music you want and convert it...

I was appalled!!! I am getting old.. ( I was usually the one to help and guide him with technical issues. Now he is teaching me...)

Even though its not flac its good enough for me...

That's how I started, too. Then I discovered FLAC and it blew me away. (Literally) Although when you're using speakers that are $850 each, I'd hope you can tell the difference.

Sonus Faber? That's a bit more than I paid for mine about fifteen years ago.
