How do I remove these irritating Ad Cookies?
My Ad Aware 2008 free version seems to identify that I have several Ad cookies in my system, but when I run it, it never tells me that they have been successfully removed, and I can assure you that they haven't been as I have been interrupted twice already today. How can I safely remove these cookies without using Ad Aware, and is there something I should look for in Ad Aware that I am missing? I do the scan, click on the bar where it says items identified. check the boxes and then Finish. I thought there used to be a box to click to remove, but none appears on my screen to do that. Thanks in advance for your help!

Not sure exactly what you're saying but I use CCleaner to clean caches and that includes all cookies.

I haven't used Ad Aware in a while, try Malwarebytes Free addition which does an excellent job of finding tough to get rid of items. I also use CCleaner on a fairly regular basis.

Removing Cookies
I did a scan with malwarebytes and it quarantined everything it found. I can definitely see an improvement in computer speed! I found it confusing as to selecting the malicious bugs vs the non malicious ones though. Clicking on the malicious ones highlighted did nothing. Is CCleaner its own free download?
thanks!

Yes, ccleaner is a free download. I usually quarantine everything that Malwarebytes finds. Even if it is not malicious. Many PUPs (possibly unwanted programs) are leave behinds that I have never had issues with removing. Next time you visit a site, it will reload, but no reason to leave these things sitting on you computer. Cookies are supposed to make web pages load faster. If you are on high speed internet, that seems to be an outdated useful feature.

Irritating Ads
I have to give you credit for the effectiveness of Malwarebytes. Even with highspeed internet, the junk it quarantined made a big difference in speed. I will move on to the CCleaner now!
Thanks for the Tips!
