Drawing lines on desktop
#1
Holding down the left mouse button, I can draw straight lines in to a rectangal. Releasing the mouse button the lines disappear. Drawing lines around icons on the desktop turns the icons blue even after releasing the mouse button. A click of the mouse returns the icons to their normal colors. These lines seem to have no function. I am using Windows 98. Can anyone enlighten me?

Once you draw a rectangle around the files/icons and they have changed in color, you can put the mouse arrow over one of the highlighted file hold down the left button and drag all the highlisted files into a folder and release and the files will move into the new folder. If you highlist and hold the mouse over one of the files/icon you can right click and you will get a menu that including cut & copy, among others. If you select cut then go to the folder that you want to move them to and right click and paste and files will move. If you select copy , then pasting will copy the files but leave the orginal files where they were.
