Coax cable near electric lines

I know that I'm supposed to keep my internet/tv cable runs 8" from electric lines. If I have to cross one piece of Romex at a stud will it make for interference problems?

Pretty hard to avoid crossing at all in most installations. Coax is shielded fairly well and crossing at right angle is the best for avoiding cross interference. Long runs parallel to power wires and close to them are best avoided. You should be fine.

Not likely because they aren't parallel.
